FRANK SINATRA was furious that he was the inspiration for The Godfather's Johnny Fontane character, due to allegations that the crooner was in with The Mafia. The Rat Pack star was so enraged that he had a vicious altercation with Mario Puzo, who wrote the book and film's screenplay.
