SCIENTISTS analysing ice core samples drilled in Greenland in the 1960s were surprised to discover well-preserved evidence of ancient plant life. The discovery has been hailed a "time capsule" into the island's not-so-icy past and a warning about Greenland's susceptibility to climate change.
