In criminal lore, it is usually the perpetrator who becomes infamous such as The Black Panther, "Acid Bath" Haigh, Neville Heath, the Yorkshire Ripper, the list goes on. Usually, the scene of the crime does not go down into history. Fred and Rose West's home in Cromwell Street is perhaps an exception although I suspect few outside of the true crime cognoscenti remember the number - it was 25 in case you were wondering.
