Dark Matter: How much dark matter is there in the Milky Way? Why can’t we see it?

DARK MATTER cannot be detected or interacted with it in any meaningful way but astronomers are certain it is right here in the Milky Way and almost every other galaxy we can see. So, how much dark matter is there in the Milky Way and why is it invisible to us?
