Opera review: Cosi Fan Tutte – Mozart's most controversial opera

Of all Mozart's operas, Cosi Fan Tutte has the most controversial history. The Victorians considered its plot morally indefensible and the opera was not seen in England from the middle of the 19th century until the 1930s. Remarkably, it was not performed by the Royal Opera at Covent Garden until 1968.
