AS HOLLYWOOD has always idolised the cowboy, the British film industry has always had a weird thing for the Cockney criminal. At least five films have been made about Ronnie and Reggie Kray, the murderous twins from the East End who extorted a fortune from London shopkeepers in the 1950s.
