Humble Boy review: One of a growing number of works based on Hamlet

Charlotte Jones’s Humble Boy sits alongside Stoppard’s Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, Updike’s Gertrude and Claudius and McEwan’s nutshell, in the growing sub-genre of works based on Hamlet. But then Shakespeare, that arch-pilferer of plots, could hardly object if later writers repay the compliment.
